A freezer brings a dead battery back to life? MYTH
MYTH: cold slows the chemistry instead; the old trick only helped some ancient NiMH cells a little, and the water that condenses can damage the battery.
Dead battery? Put it in the freezer! Really? 🧊🔋
❌ MYTH! Cold doesn't recharge anything — it just slows the chemistry. Dead stays dead.
💧 When it warms up, water drops form on it: corrosion and short-circuit risk.
📱 Phone batteries (lithium-ion) get damaged for good if you charge them below 0 °C (32 °F).
🐢 What cold really does: slows everything down, even the slow self-drain (that's where the old 'keep batteries in the fridge' tip came from).
✅ Best: room temperature, about 15–25 °C (59–77 °F), and dry.
